DESCRIPTION: APW - New England Watch Co, skeleton model, 1-4J, 18S, gold-filled OF original display case, skeletonized gilt pillar plate with arcaded outer chapter bearing hour numerals, fancy white metal Louis XV style hands, SW and set by pushing downward on crown while turning, duplex escapement, gilt mvt, heart shaped balance cock cutout, no s#. This gold-filled version of the New England skeleton model appears to be far scarcer than this watch in either chrome-plated base metal or in gunmetal casing.
CONDITION: Mvt: Running, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, some haze and small spots to gilt plate, small nick to escape wheel bridge; excellent dial; excellent hands; case shows very little wear, some fine scratches, no dents or dings, wear to brass to lower portion of pendant; tight bow, crown shows little wear; good front glass crystal, thick rear glass crystal with short fine scratch to lower portion and with ample glue excess to its seating.
